No tickets will be refunded in case of rain or inclement weather.
We ask participants to bring appropriate clothing for the weather, as the event will take place rain or shine.

You may transfer your ticket to another person until August 28, 2025. To transfer a ticket, you must send an email to the following address: info@contre-courant.ca
Only transfer requests made by email will be eligible and permitted.
Each ticket transfer request must be approved by the Festival Contre-Courant.
Your name must appear in our system in order to register for the event.
After August 28, 2025, it will no longer be possible to transfer tickets.

A series of outdoor concerts at different times of the day (see the Program tab for the complete schedule).
In addition to several activities available on site, with or without reservation: Canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rentals (reservation required on site, hourly rate), yoga classes (reservation required, fee applies), guided (reservation required, fee applies) or self-guided hiking, river rafting (reservation required, fee applies), introductory astronomy workshop, obstacle course, and more!

A lunch counter will be available on site with a variety of food options (for purchase on site), as well as alcohol and refreshments.
A covered area with picnic tables is also available if you wish to cook your own meals with your own equipment.
Only propane stoves are allowed on site—BBQs are prohibited.

Children are welcome on site! Please note that the event is free for children 6 and under.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed anywhere on site.

Parking spaces on site are very limited, so we invite ticket holders to reserve a parking space through our ticket office when purchasing tickets so that we can plan ahead.
We encourage you to carpool to the site!

The event will take place rain or shine. We recommend that you dress appropriately.

When you arrive at the site, you can go to the reception desk, where we will tell you where to park your vehicle, depending on your ticket type. You will then be directed to your campsite or room, if applicable. You will also receive your site access wristband, along with a wealth of other information to help you enjoy the site!

No, smoking is not permitted on the site.

No, outside alcohol is not permitted on the site for licensing reasons. We will have a refreshment bar on site with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Yes, you can bring your paddleboards, canoes, or kayaks. Please note that motorized boats are not allowed on the water.
If you bring your own boat, you must have your life jacket, safety light, and whistle with you.

For camping or room reservations, arrival at the site is possible from noon and departure before 11 a.m. the following day. You therefore have access to the shows and activities offered throughout this period.
For day ticket holders, your ticket gives you access to all three shows of the day (morning show and two evening shows). You can therefore enjoy the activities on site in between shows.

No, for logistical reasons, van spaces and rooms in the camp are rented for the entire weekend, i.e. two nights.
However, it is possible to book a campsite for just one night.

Two types of dormitory rooms are available for reservation.
Room with two single beds and a bathroom shared with another room (possibility of adding a floor mattress for a third person—please mention this when making your reservation).
Room with six single beds (three bunk beds) and shared toilets and showers
Please note that you must bring your own bedding and towels when renting a room.
Please note that the camping and van spaces are rustic and do not offer services for individual sites.
A sanitary block and various access points to drinking water and electricity are available on site for all campers.
